Conservative activists and Trump loyalists from right-wing nonprofits are anticipated to have significant influence on former President Donald Trump as he returns to the White House. Organizations such as the America First Policy Institute and their leaders are reportedly already contributing to shaping the president-elect’s policy agenda. However, the extent of Project 2025’s involvement remains uncertain. According to Politico, Trump is collaborating with close allies to develop “aggressive” policies to implement immediately upon his inauguration. These allies include leaders from right-wing organizations who align more closely with Trump’s views compared to the traditional establishment Republicans he initially relied on during his first term. The only official appointment Trump has announced for his second administration is his campaign manager, Susie Wiles, who will serve as his Chief of Staff.
