Trump’s Cabinet And Key Jobs: Harmeet Dhillon, Mark Paoletta, Alina Habba Tapped For Legal Roles

President-elect Donald Trump announced on Monday that Harmeet Dhillon will serve as the Justice Department’s Attorney General for Civil Rights, and Mark Paoletta will return to his role as General Counsel for the Office of Management and Budget. This announcement follows the appointment of his personal lawyer, Alina Habba, as Counselor to the President.
Trump has made selections for most Senate-confirmed Cabinet-level positions, including some that have sparked surprise and controversy. Additionally, he has appointed a Chief of Staff and a National Security Adviser, both of which are key roles that do not require Senate confirmation.
In related news, Trump is reportedly considering replacing Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth, possibly with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. This consideration comes amid allegations of public drunkenness and sexual misconduct against Hegseth, which he has denied.
