Steve Bannon, a conservative podcaster and ally of former President Trump, will be released from prison next week after serving his full sentence for contempt of Congress. Despite attempts for early release, the Bureau of Prisons confirmed his release date as Oct. 29. Bannon’s sentence stemmed from his refusal to cooperate with a House Jan. 6 Committee subpoena, citing executive privilege. He reported to prison on July 1.
