A federal judge denied Donald Trump’s request to delay the release of additional evidence in the January 6 case. Judge Tanya Chutkan ruled that a redacted version of an appendix to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s filing will be unsealed despite Trump’s claims of election interference. Chutkan emphasized the public’s right to access information and stated that the court will avoid political considerations in its decisions. Trump’s argument that the court was limiting public access to only one side of the case was also dismissed.
