Cheeses And Turkey Sandwiches Latest To Be Recalled For Listeria Concerns

CIBUS Fresh has issued a recall for its autumn turkey sandwiches sold under the CIBUS Fresh, Jack & Olive, and Sprig and Sprout brands due to potential listeria contamination. This recall is linked to the recent Savencia Cheese recall, which affected several soft cheese products, including Glenview Farms Spreadable Brie used in the sandwiches. The initial recall, announced earlier this week, involved brie and camembert products from brands such as Aldi, Supreme, La Bonne Vie, Market Basket, and Glenview Farms, with best-by dates of Dec. 24 and Jan. 13 for the Glenview Farms Spreadable Brie. The contamination was discovered after Savencia Cheese identified potential listeria in its equipment. Although the distribution of these products was limited to certain regions in the United States, no illnesses have been reported. The FDA has not specified the exact locations of the contaminated products, but Aldi has confirmed that affected cheeses were sold in stores across Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, and Missouri.
