Jamie Foxx Discusses Diddy Rumors, Medical Emergency In New Netflix Special: Here’s What He Said

In a recent Netflix special, actor Jamie Foxx disclosed that he experienced a “brain bleed that led to a stroke” before his extended absence from the public eye in 2023. The special, titled “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…”, was filmed during three live stand-up comedy shows in Atlanta in early October and released on Tuesday.
Leading up to the special’s release, there was speculation that Foxx would reveal the cause of his prolonged hospitalization, during which he lost 20 days of his memory, and address rumors linking his health crisis to Sean “Diddy” Combs. On stage, Foxx humorously dismissed the allegations that Combs was involved in his health issues, despite the claims being echoed by producer Arthur Alston and podcaster Joe Rogan.
Foxx also made light of the “freak-off” parties Combs allegedly hosted in Hollywood, where many accusers claim they were drugged and sexually assaulted. He joked about leaving the parties early, saying, “Hell no, I left them parties early. I was out by 9, something don’t look right. It’s slippery in here.” Additionally, he humorously compared Combs to the “devil” and mentioned the federal government seizing “more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant” during raids on Combs’ property.
Alston, known as “Choke No Joke,” reported that Foxx claimed Combs was responsible for his health issues and that Foxx had contacted the FBI. However, Combs’ team has denied any connection between Foxx’s health crisis and Combs’ legal troubles, calling the rumors “outlandish, ridiculous, and baseless.”
